The Lancia Delta HF 4WD marked the dawn of a new era in rallying. After the ban of Group B in 1986, Lancia developed an all-new contender to dominate the freshly introduced Group A regulations. Under its boxy yet aggressive silhouette, the HF 4WD packed a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing around 250 hp in rally trim, paired with a sophisticated permanent all-wheel-drive system featuring a 56/44 front-rear torque split for exceptional traction on any surface.

Debuting at the 1987 Monte Carlo Rally, the HF 4WD immediately set the tone by taking an emphatic victory and establishing itself as the car to beat. It went on to secure back-to-back World Rally Championship Manufacturers’ titles in 1987 and 1988, proving its reliability, versatility, and speed across gravel, tarmac, snow, and ice. More importantly, the HF 4WD laid the foundation for the legendary Integrale dynasty, kickstarting a period of unprecedented dominance in rally history, with Lancia securing six consecutive WRC titles between 1987 and 1992.
